Trip to Santiago via a Vineyard
We talked to Miguel at our B&B and he suggested we hire a car to drive us to Santiago. The car would take us to Casas Del Bosque, and very nice vineyard just outside the city of Casablanca.
We had a private English speaking tour and then we had our own private tasting, in the most amazing tasting room.

We tried a new grape called Carmenre. It’s only grown in Chile, and it was amazing. We picked up a bottle to bring home. We also had a really good Sauvignon Blanc, that tasted like grapefruit. It was very good and we also picked up a bottle of that to bring home with us.

After we drank at the vineyard our driver took us to a restaurant called Mercado. Once again, the restaurants on Chile amazes us, and we had another wonderful meal. We started with a trio of Ceviche and then Jayson had a seafood pasta and I had Spicy short ribs with spicy mush potatoes (that’s how they spelled them.
